Not even sure what happened this week. Other than my team finally reaching the top of the league table (suck it Chelsea!) this week has been a big bag of inconsequential. Just one more week till I get to see Skyfall!!!! Now this is what I’ve been watching:
FIRST TIME WATCHED
SUSPIRIA (1977) – The colours… the colours.
FLIGHT (2012) – After a great first 15 mins (the crash) the film devolves into complete heavy handed message dross that doesn’t even work.
SINISTER (2012) – movie is scary as hell… it got to me and I guess that’s what was intended.
HIGH SCHOOL (2012) – it’s so bad… so … so… bad. Not even crazed Adrien Brody could fix it.
SPORTS NIGHT (SEASON 2) – happy to see that they dropped the laugh track and let Sorkin be Sorkin and allow me to laugh when it was actually funny. Great show, love Josh Malina.
REWATCHED
MOONRAKER (1979) – “His name’s Jaws, he kills people.”
FOR YOUR EYES ONLY (1981) – “That’s putting it mildly, 007!”

I watched Kubrick's short film FEAR AND DESIRE yesterday. Very handsome, but sorta fucked-up.
I also got back to working my way through "The Wire". I'm almost halfway through season three. I really should pick up the pace since at the rate I'm going, it'll take me five years to finish the series.
please make THE WIRE you're by the end of the year project… that show is too awesome.
