TUMP FILMMAKERS [SERIES 6: EDWARD YANG] [PT.1 YI YI]

This is a podcasting series we’ve not done since 2018 when we had a marathon of Iranian films — one that my cohosts were not too pleased to complete. Here we return with bi-weekly offerings for the next two months to discuss four films from the Chinese born Taiwanese filmmaker Edward Yang.

We begin this week with his final film, Yi Yi. You can find the list of films we’ll be discussing here on Letterboxd.

I hope you enjoy as we begin this journey.

This is my blog. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My blog is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my blog is useless. Without my blog, I am useless. I must fire my blog true. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my blog and myself are defenders of my mind, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen.
