REQUIRED READING: ARNIE FRAMED IN DUTCH ANGLES WHILE PLAYING WITH TOYS

I read a lot of blogs. I do. I don’t always comment on them… but I do read. More than most times you’ll see me posting feedback through twitter directly to the writers or just giving adulation to the post on their own. Anyways I wanted to start pitching my two cents in letting you know (for those of you not following me on twitter, all 1 billion of you) about what I think was some of the best/most fun posts I spent my time reading/obsessing about this past week.

Corey Atad over at the Movie Mezzanine posted a fun little piece taking a couple jabs at Tom Hooper and his obsession with Dutch angles in Les Misérables.

I’ve recently become a big fan of M. Brown’s reviews over at Two Dollar Cinema and this week he took on Spielberg’s Lincoln.

Matt Singer from the CriticWire decided to rank his muscle bound obsession with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s (I’m proud that I can spell it without auto correct now) films. I still say Jingle All the Way deserves a higher spot.

My New Plaid Pants reminds me that Toys exists and that I need to revisit that movie.

Devin Faraci from Badass Digest gave The Last Stand a wonderfully positive review and it gives me hope for a film I have planned for this weekend’s activities.

Ryan McNeil from The Matinee is the latest in bloggers to throw his hat in the ring of people who love Zero Dark Thirty with his review.

Shawna talks about her Surprises and Disappointments of 2012 in cinema.

This is my blog. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My blog is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my blog is useless. Without my blog, I am useless. I must fire my blog true. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my blog and myself are defenders of my mind, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen.
