WHAT I’VE BEEN WATCHING: AUG 26TH – SEPT 1ST

Another week and more stories to tell, actually not. I’m now three days out from my Toronto trip and I’ve added 4 more films to my already brimming TIFF schedule (as single tickets went on sale today). See my updated schedule here. Tweet me @gmanreviews or email me at andrew.robinson@gmanreviews.com if we’re going to bumping into each other in line, or if you’d like to otherwise, and yes I’m more and more excited as time roles down.

Re: festival updates; I’ll try my best to keep this site updated with daily recaps of my ongoings, but you’ll find a lot of more comprehensive reviews over a Film School Rejects, where I’ll be doing my official coverage. So when this site seems out of date it just means I’m either too busy or having too much fun or (hopefully) doing both.

However, here’s what I have to say I saw this week:

FIRST TIME WATCHED

SAFE (2012) – a fun action film with little story, but who needs story when you have Statham kicking ass and taking names
SNOW WHITE & THE HUNTSMAN (2012) – It wins the Snow White in 2012 fight, but not by much. It has some spectacularly amazing visual moments, but also a lot of mediocre ones, but I give this the win just for the dwarves (Nick Frost and Bob Hoskins = win).
THE FAIRY (2011) – story be forgotten and many laughably joyous moments be had.
V/H/S (2012) – weird Horror short medley of a film.

REWATCHED

HIGH FIDELITY (2000) “I’m beginning to believe that my guts have shit for brains!”
WARRIOR (2011) ” It’s OK! It’s OK! I Love You! I Love You Tommy!”

THE COUNT

138 First time watches (62 from 2012); 83 Rewatches; 221 Total Films

What’ve You Been Watching?

This is my blog. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My blog is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my blog is useless. Without my blog, I am useless. I must fire my blog true. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my blog and myself are defenders of my mind, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen.
