The Interlude: Hanna (The Chemical Brothers)

I’ve been ignoring this simple feature for a few weeks, and I apologize for that. I mean how can you really manage the weekend without the world famous Interlude.

So, one of my favourite soundtracks that I’ve been bumping to recently is from the latest film by Joe Wright, Hanna, all done by The Chemical Brothers. I’m sure you’ve heard this track already but play it on blast and tell me you don’t want to just start rolling down the windows in your car and whistle to it:

The Interlude: Strictly Ballroom (Cyndi Lauper)

This week I finally got around to watching Baz Luhrmann‘s first film, Strictly Ballroom, and I loved it. It’s cheesy and ridiculous dance movie awesome. One of my favourite parts of the movie is when Fran and Scott first start dancing together and Cyndi Lauper’s Time After Time starts playing and everything the film cuts away from them dancing to a completely other part of the story the song stops but eventually the movie comes back to them dancing and Fran learning more and more and the song keeps coming back as if Luhrmann made a contract with Lauper’sĀ agent and had to play the whole song in the movie. Check out this kind of music video I found using footage from the film and enjoy your weekend:
