Charlie (Joe Moran) is a neurotic film student who’s in love with his classmate, Juliet (Jocelyn DeBoer), but doesn’t have the confidence to muster a conversation outside of the classroom. Eventually Charlie’s roommate, Rob (Patrick McColley), decides that it’s about time Chuck mans up to the task and decides to help him out. One day Rob arranges it so that Chuck and Juliet will end up stuck in the classroom for hours on end with nothing to do but finally both fess up to their feelings for each other, or kill each other from accumulated awkwardness. Brandi [Kelly-Ann Tursi] is a young 20 something year old woman who is having money trouble and decides to work as a fantasy girl. A fantasy girl is one who allows her clients to experience some of their fantasies, as long as it doesn’t involve her being completely nude, only as far as her undies, and no sex/kissing. It allows for the client to experience a scenario, like being treated like a child or a dog, but all without the sex that you would assume would come with this kind of film. (more…)

William Proudfoot (Bill Milner) and Lee Carter (Will Poulter) become friends and decide to make their own film “Son of Rambow” for the BBC film competition known as “ScreenTest”. Will being from a family whose religion bans them from participating in any of the technological progressions of society (i.e. watching television or listening to recorded music) he must hide his friendship with Lee Carter from his family, while attempting to make this film.

So here’s a trailer that was pointed out to me over on youtube. I’m pretty impressed by it. I love the indie feel and looks kind of like a Clerks, in that there will be some witty dialogue and all filmed in basically one location. The DVD comes out in September and I will definitely give it a watch when I can get my hands on the DVD.
