Kate Colman [Vera Famiga] and John [Peter Sarsgaard] have decided to take on another child in their already family of four. After being approved for the adoption they visit the local orphanage and decide to adopt the more mature loner, Esther [Isabelle Fuhrman]. So here is Raimi’s return to the horror genre of filmmaking. Mrs. Ganush [Lorna Raver] comes to Christine Brown [Alison Lohman], a loan officer at the bank, for a third extension on her mortgage and Christine declines her request which means that Mrs. Ganush will lose her home. After a huge scene in the bank which puts Mrs. Ganush in a position of shame everything seems to have ended and both women will deal with their own lives. However, later that evening Mrs. Ganush attacks Christine in the car park and curses Christine with a powerful curse that will end in her being dragged to hell by a demon. (more…)

If you happen to be a dumb sexy guy or girl who likes to go camping then Crystal Lake Camp might be your thing. However, Jason Voorhees [Derek Mears] is lurking and for some reason people don’t make it back home after heading out into those neck of the woods. Another group of nameless actors and actresses head out to Crystal Lake to get stoned, have sex and eventually get hacked to shreds by this huge guy with a hockey mask.

The Midnight Meat Train [Movie Review]

So with today being Halloween I decided I should review a horror movie, and with my lack of knowledge of the Saw series I decided to pick up this well received film starring Vinnie Jones.

Leon Kauffman [Bradley Cooper] is an aspiring photographer in New York, and he is out on assignment to get some gritty pictures for a showing. He comes upon an interesting subject, Mahogany [Vinnie Jones], who is a butcher who rides the late night trains in the subway.

The Happening Movie Review

New York City has been attacked. Across the city people are killing themselves. There is no explanation for this. Mass suicides are taking place. It is spreading all over the North Eastern coast of USA. Elliot Moore(Mark Wahlberg), a high school science teacher, and his best friend Julian(John Leguizamo) decide to leave the city with Alma Moore(Zooey Deschanel), and Julian’s daughter, Jess(Ashlyn Sanchez).
