Shortly after Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) revealed himself to the world that he is in fact the mechanized superhero, Iron Man, he has started to get into more and more trouble as he’s put in the spotlight. The U.S. Government is hounding him to hand over the suit to them so that they can control the use of the technology. Hugh Jackman returns to reprise his role as Wolverine from the X-Men films to tell the origin story of the lost tough man with claws. Victor Creed [Liev Schreiber] and Logan are brothers and have been together throughout the years and through all the wars, as we get to know through a really lame opening credits montage. After years of fighting Logan decides that he’s had enough and he just walks away. Unfortunately William Stryker [Danny Huston] and Victor aren’t going to let him leave so easy, and eventually Logan has reasons to come after them for blood. (more…)

So here I am, two days after seeing on screen one of the most revered graphic novels come to life and I have the horrible task to try and give you my thoughts on the film without making it seem completely biased. Now I’m not going to lie to you, I hadn’t even heard of this book until the first trailer hit the internet, but since then I’ve read the book three times already and I love it. I knew going in that there was no way this movie would do for comic book films what Sin City did. There is no way that Zack Snyder could put every single panel on the screen without making the entire movie a slideshow – and if that’s what you want you can get it on amazon. However, there is no way I can down talk what a great adaptation this movie is of the book. (more…)

We return to Gotham City, and things have become slightly better. However, as Lieutenant Gordon promised at the end of the previous film The Joker (Heath Ledger) is around causing all sorts of chaos, and now with Batman cornering the mob The Joker has been let loose on him. Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) has emerged as the public servant that will stand up to the criminals and isn’t afraid to attack them with the law. Harvey Dent represents what Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) wanted to inspire people to become when he decided to become Batman. So now with two heroes and one bigger than life villain we enter a rollercoaster ride of a movie that makes us lose our minds and somewhat find it again. “And here we go”

Ages ago mankind and mythical creatures made a truce that man would stay to the cities and the creatures to the forest. Now, Prince Nuada (Luke Goss) has decided to break that agreement in order to take over the land and rule it as it’s one and only king. He needs the power of the Golden Army to do this. Hellboy (Ron Perlman) is set on the path to stop him and destroy this army from ever being brought back to life. And so we go…
