Harry Brown (Michael Caine) is a former Marine. He, as well as many others in the neighbourhood, has had to put up with the shenanigans of a set of young hoods that terrorize their living area and sell drugs. After the death of his best friend, Leonard (David Bradley), Harry has decided he’s had enough and has to teach these children a lesson. He goes on a hunt for the man that murdered his friend the only way that he knows will work, without the police. (more…)

Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) has spent centuries after the death of his master, Merlin, keeping the evil sorcerers at bay and searching for the chosen one – i.e. The Prime-Merlinian or the magically inclined descendant to Merlin. Imagine a future where we have successfully created mechanical replacements for your organs. Therein enters the ‘Union’. They will happily sell you a lung, kidney, liver and/or heart and make sure to put you on a payment plan that will suit your lifestyle. However, if for some reason or another you happen to fall behind on your payments then they will be there to repossess their property. Remy (Jude Law) and Jake (Forest Whitaker) are two of the best repo-men who work for the union and are each other’s best friend from the fourth grade. After an accident during a job Remy is hurt and ends up receiving a state-of-the-art mechanical heart. With this change in his life he somehow can’t find the fortitude to be a repo man anymore and begins to have to deal with being an overdue client with repo men coming after him. (more…)

Evelyn Salt (Angelina Jolie) is a CIA agent. One day a Russian agent walks into the CIA and turns himself in. Salt is asked to interrogate the man. This man, Orlov (Daniel Olbrychski), tells a story of how a Russian spy embedded in the US population is going to assassinate the president. Orlov eventually says that the name of the Russian spy is Evelyn Salt. This therefore puts Salt into a panic and she ends up going on a run around the US from the CIA and other forces to try and prove her innocence. (more…)

Frank Ross (John Pickard) heads into town to handle some business where he’s shot dead in cold blood by his own assistant, Tom Chaney (Jeff Corey). Frank’s daughter, Mattie Ross (Kim Darby), wants justice. She therefore goes out and hires who she thinks is a man who has ‘True Grit’, Marshall Rooster Cogburn (John Wayne) to hunt down the man who killed her father and bring him to the law so he can be judged and hung. La Boeuf (Glen Campbell) is also on the trail of the same man and finds himself tagging along to make sure he gets his fair share of the reward that he’s been working so hard for long before this Ross business occurred. After Josey Wales (Clint Eastwood) sees his wife and child murdered by Union soldiers he joins a Confederate Guerilla Unit. The film rushes through the war and reaches a point where the Confederate Army has lost and their soldiers are told to turn themselves in and surrender. Josey Wales refuses to surrender. He is then deemed an outlaw and must run for his life from the law. (more…)

Roy Miller (Tom Cruise) bumps into June Havens (Cameron Diaz) in the airport. After spending a quiet flight with Roy, where he kills everyone on board and has to make an emergency landing in the middle of a farm, soon enough June figures out that she needs to get as far as possible from this man. Unfortunately with some government agency trying to kill her she ends up forced to have to stick around with Roy. We end up on this spy filled plot filled with espionage and a lot of sedatives. Sherry (Taraji P. Hensen) and Dre (Jaden Smith) have to move to Beijing, China after Sherry was transferred to the Chinese division of the can company she works for. There Dre meets Meiying (Wenwen Han) and immediately falls in love, but Cheng (Zhenwei Wang) doesn’t like Dre and begins to bully him to stay away from Meiying. Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) finds out about this and decides to teach Dre Kung-fu so that he can defend himself and participate in an open tournament. (more…)
