DISCUSS: OPENING CREDITS (AKA. JASON REITMAN MOVIES)

Jason Reitman is a filmmaker who I’ve come to love. He’s directed four feature films thusfar: Thank You For Smoking, Juno, Up In The Air and Young Adult; and I love each one in their own special way. There are so many aspects of his films that I can use to create a common thread and start to extrapolate as to his particular habits as a filmmaker. However, one particular habit that I love without a doubt is his title sequences.

Obviously Reitman‘s films aren’t the only ones where title sequences are used, but for some reason tonight (as I sit in front of my computer trying to think of what to post tomorrow) his films are what is inspiring me.

So take a moment to enjoy the title sequences of his films below:

What’re some of your favourite title sequences?

This is my blog. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My blog is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my blog is useless. Without my blog, I am useless. I must fire my blog true. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my blog and myself are defenders of my mind, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen.

wow….I don't even remember To Kill a Mockingbird having that memorable a opening credit sequence. Even though it was my favourite book through high school, and an even better movie if memory serves. Glad to hear all the others mentioned.
