Today I realized that even though I’ve done my best to bring you a better blogging experience with my twitter ramblings I’ve never brought the site to facebook.  So for all you twitter haters and farmville addicts here I am.  Go and ‘Like’ gmanReviews and share it with your friends.  The posts will be syndicated to the FB Page and I will be creating Discussion Threads on the Page for every film that’s released in Jamaica (i.e. all the movies mentioned in my ‘Coming Out this Week‘ articles) for us all to get together and talk about how we all feel about the movie.  Let me know if there are any other cool features or interactions that you think would be cool.  See you there everyone. I’m not usually the kind of person to self-promote.  However, for some odd reason I’m feeling that it may actually do me some good.  About four or so months ago I joined a film blog registry kind of place called The LAMB (The Large Ass Movie Blogs).  A few days ago I got an email that it’s time for their annual awards called The LAMMYs.  So this is me asking you all for a favour.  Go and vote for gmanReviews in the following categories: Best Blog, Best New LAMB, Best Podcast: The Unnamed Movie Podcast & Best Movie Reviewer.  If you know anyone who hasn’t voted send him over to the site and make him vote too.  Be all generous with your voting too.

So, in case you haven’t noticed I’ve taken a sort of break from the internet for the past week or so (and that will probably continue for a few more days).  However, I felt like finally filling you all in on what’s actually been going on with me and the site.

I’ve, as of recent, been having a crisis of faith (so to speak) in regards to this site.  I love the internet and I love providing content for it, however for the past two plus years I’ve been doing so through this blog (and my twitter feed) and I’ve found little people who I actually reach out to.  I’ve been pondering for the last sever (or so) days as to what it is I’m doing wrong?  What is it that I can do, as a writer and contributor to the rabble that is the internet, to somehow increase my readers (not views, but actual readers) here?  And I still haven’t been able to come up with an answer that would seem to work. So with upcoming exams and assignments that I need to complete I will be going on full hiatus for as long as three weeks, hopefully no longer.  I doubt I will be watching much movies, and I’m sure I will not be writing any full blown reviews.
