Darren Aronofsky is one of my favourite directors working today.  He’s given me films like: Pi, Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain and The Wrestler.  Every film he does is perfect in everyway.  His films tend to deal with such a psychological level of drama that no other filmmaker does.  Here he has Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman as competing ballet dancers who’re trying there best to be the best.  Check out the trailer below: (more…)

Last year it was announced that Joaquin Pheonix was retiring from acting to become a hip-hop artist.  Eventually the news leaked that the documentary, to be filmed by Casey Affleck, was actually a mokumentary that would be released later on.  The entire blogosphere went back and forth as to whether this was one elaborate gag that Pheonix and Affleck were playing on the world.  Well at the very least we can say that we’re getting a movie out of it.  So check out the trailer below: (more…)

Do you listen to TUMP? Did you listen to our episode on Inception? If you do and if you did, you would know that every week we talk about the newly released trailers and this week we spoke about Drive Angry and Sucker Punch. What you wouldn’t know, however, is what trailers we didn’t talk about.

Every week, I compile all the new trailers (that I see, at least) into one really long Google Wave and using some embedded tools we vote on which ones we will talk about on the next podcast. I’ve opened up that wave to the public so you can see exactly which trailers we voted on that week and what we all thought about it. Machete was born in 2007 when the Grindhouse double-feature hit theatres (Planet Terror and Death Proof).  It started as a fake trailer starring Danny Trejo, Cheech Marin and Jeff Fahey; now they’ve added Don Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Alba, Steven Seagal and Robert De Niro to the cast and actually made it into a full length feature that will be released in the US on September 3rd this year.  Check out the new RED BAND trailer below: (more…)
