So a while back I used to do this weekly post called Guess the Movie.  What I do is that I post a screenshot from a film and you, the reader, have to guess what movie it comes from.  There’s no prize or anything other than bragging rights and knowing that you have successfully out-nerded everyone else.  Each week I’ll post not only a new screenshot but a link back to the winner of the previous week’s challenge.

Last time I posted this challenge was over a year ago, yes I’m resurrecting this feature.  Back then the image I posted was from The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Let’s see how long it takes for you all to guess the movie the the screenshot below is from: (more…)

Another week goes by without anyone getting the correct answer.  Last week‘s screenshot was taken from an amazing kung fu film by the name of House of Flying Daggers. So here we are again.  MC was the winner of last weeks post which was from last year’s amazing comedy Sex Drive.  I do believe that one was real easy so this week I think I have one that’s “not too hard but not too soft” just like something that you get a shit detail in the Platoon (more…)

So I guess I picked a tough one last week when I put up this screenshot from one of my favourite movies of 2007, Charlie Wilson’s War.  The screenshot comes from the scene with the bellydancer.  The shot is of the bellydancer at the beginning of that scene coming into the light, I thought it was a wonderful scene and a particularly memorable shot. Here comes a brand new piece for gmanReviews.  I thought to myself who out there are movie geeks like myself and love their movies so much that they could tell me what movie a random snapshot is from if I gave them one?  So, what I’ll do is every week [dependent on how well received this piece is and how much time I have to find interesting pictures to share] I’ll post up a new question, and in the next week’s post I’ll let you all know what movie it was, if no one has got the correct answer by then.
