WHAT I’VE BEEN WATCHING: AUG 19TH – AUG 25TH

Another week and another chance to take a peek back at what I accomplished. Once again we’re coming closer and closer to TIFF (acutally made my ticket selections this morning, you can see my schedule here if you’re curious, and look later this week for some pre-TIFF articles). My excitement has reached new heights and soon enough I’ll announce something that (at least I feel) is sort of a big deal for my TIFF goings.

In the coming week I’m looking forward to recording my upcoming MatineeCast guest spot (second ever) and also the final episode of my Newsroom related podcast as the season finale is tonight (go hear those over at Film Geek Radio). Otherwise keep good and let’s hope this week is great.

FIRST TIME WATCHED

THE EXPENDABLES 2 (2012) – finally the cheesy action fest done right; thank you Simon West for fixing it.
THE WEDDING BANQUET (1993) – fun and interesting almost comedy drama, but not 100% there for me at the same time.
EAT DRINK MAN WOMAN (1994) – another interesting culture drama, sadly failings in the tone make it less than I hoped.
PARANORMAN (2012) – fantastic film and I hope you all go and watch it.
PREMIUM RUSH (2012) – ughhh… I should’ve just gone and signed up for the gym around the corner; why was that guy playing Wesley Snipes from Demolition Man?

REWATCHED

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES (2012)“you think this gives you power over me?”

THE COUNT

134 First time watches (59 from 2012); 81 Rewatches; 215 Total Films

This is my blog. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My blog is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my blog is useless. Without my blog, I am useless. I must fire my blog true. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my blog and myself are defenders of my mind, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen.
