Review (00:03:44): Drinking Buddies
Douglas’ Corner (00:25:11): King of Summer

This is my blog. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My blog is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my blog is useless. Without my blog, I am useless. I must fire my blog true. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my blog and myself are defenders of my mind, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen.

Finally was able to give this episode a listen after seeing Drinking Buddies a few days ago. Overall I liked this film a little more than Swanberg's other 2013 film, All the Light in the Sky. What really sold me on this film was the final act and the way their relationship, which they tease you with throughout the entire film, does not go the way I anticipated it would. I thought the cast did a great job of raising the film above some of its conventional trappings.
