WHAT I’VE BEEN WATCHING: JULY 20 – JULY 26

thor

I’m posting late, but what do they say about being better than never… Anyways lots of stuff going on. I’m hoping to retcon this blog into being up to date by the end of the night… so look for lots of old new things in the morning or so.

PACIFIC RIM (2013) – I can’t think of a more awesome movie that deserves so much cult fan love ever.
ONLY GOD FORGIVES (2013) – Amazing film from top to bottom that I believe most of you will earnestly hate through and through.
DEATHTRAP (1982) – Fun, forgettable but superman fights with all of the characters that Michael Caine played.

REWATCHED

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE –  “If we’re going to Virginia why don’t we drop by Fort Knox?”
THOR“Oh, no… this is Earth… isn’t it?”
I SAW THE DEVIL“Why do you look like you stepped in shit?”
X-MEN“Fight with you! Join the team? Be an X-Man? Who the hell do you think you are?”
DIE HARD“Hey babe, I negotiate million dollar deals for breakfast.”

My count for the year of 2013 is updated to 133 First time watches (52 from 2013); 111 Rewatches; 244 Total Films

This is my blog. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My blog is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my blog is useless. Without my blog, I am useless. I must fire my blog true. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my blog and myself are defenders of my mind, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen.

I vote you start counting screenings too btw.
For the life of me, I will never understand why PACIFIC RIM isn't a bigger hit. It's such a straight-up crowd pleaser – people just don't know what they are missing!

Oh, and if you loved ONLY GOD FORGIVES, you'll enjoy this morning's bit of Matineecast material – the missing ninetieth episode!

If I count screenings it'll be pretty much a copy and paste of the films of the year (2013) count… since I don't really see as many classic films in the theatre. Other than when I watch Pacific Rim 3 times in the theatre.
