Nicolas Winding Refn’s “Drive” Looks Like The Movie Of The Year

This trailer debuted last night and while I was just too tired to think of how amazing it was I just have to share it now. Check out the trailer for Nicolas Winding Refn‘s latest film, Drive:
Synopsis: A Hollywood stunt performer who moonlights as a wheelman discovers that a contract has been put on him after a heist gone wrong.
While I appreciated Bronson when I first saw it and loved it’s ambition I wasn’t completely on board with the end product and to this day I haven’t been able to get through all of Valhalla Rising, I am still very interested in the career of Refn. This film looks like his first major film project that isn’t going to be colour coded or made just for the art house group and that excites me. I’m always happy to see art as art, but it’s always even more interesting when you see artists (sometimes at least) try to make themselves slightly more accessible and this looks like that film.
Also the cast looks amazing: Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, Bryan Cranston, Christina Hendricks and Albert Brooks could make for a really great action packed driving fest of a film that I just can’t manage to miss out on.
