Weekend Poll: Who’s Your Favourite Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher?

So Harry Potter is coming up and I’ve decided to do a series of weekend polls dedicated to the franchise. Of course my questions will be more tailored to the films, so all of you book lovers who want to just shout at me for not reading them be quiet.

One of the biggest running jokes of the series is that every year there is a new Defense Against the Dark Arts (DADA) teacher that at the end of the year resigns so to make way for the next. We’ve seen six years of Hogwarts and therefore six DADA teachers.

    I’m going with Lupin because he actually taught something to Harry in that class.  Yet, where’s one of the Carrows?  Oh, wait.  There was no Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher in the 7th book because it became the pro-Dark Arts teacher.

    Ive gotta go with Lockhert, the actor was excellent. Umbridge would be a second, and Severus a natural choice.

    Lockheart I think is the most different of the bunch. Especially the way he ended up leaving.

    Lupin I think was the first of the real Dark Arts teachers… they actually seemed to know what they were doing after that, and Harry was getting old enough to be able to tell a real teacher from a useless one.
