Ben Affleck‘s sophomore film as a director is coming out on September 10th. THE TOWN is a crime drama about a gang who’s robbing banks in Boston and it stars, Ben Affleck (Dogma), Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Rebecca Hall (Vicky Cristina Barcelona) and Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker).  Check out the trailer below:

Not only was I blown away by Ben Affleck‘s first film (Gone Baby Gone) but this trailer let’s me know to expect more of the same amazingness from him.  I know I’m not the only one that is intrigued by how great Affleck is showing himself to be as a director, especially when he was making it abundantly clear that he was barely mediocre as an actor in most of the movies he made.  It’s actually making me rethink all of those jokes about him just slapping his name on the Good Will Hunting screenplay that he won the Oscar for.  Not only does this look like a really good police drama, but it looks like it could become the new great heist film; keeping it’s own with films like Heat.  I know I’m jumping the gun here but the shots of the actuall robbery scenes just look beautiful and I can’t wait to see this movie.
