HBO renews Entourage, True Blood & Hung
July 31st, 2009by Andrew Robinson

HBO, my favourite cable channel, has renewed True Blood, Entourage and Hung for another season each and they will all return on the air next summer.
I’m very happy to see the shows doing well and being renewed. Especially Entourage, because I’ve been hearing a lot of bad word of mouth on the show over the internet and I got the feeling that most people are more or less fed up with the show and have lost interest in the completely whimsical film career of Vinny Chase. True Blood on the other hand has been the complete opposite of Entourage, most people trashed the show when it began during it’s first season but after half way through the season the show got exponentially better and it’s become a fan favourite so it’s renewal was to be expected. I mean how can you hate a show that has Anna Paquin’s breasts in it? Hung is in it’s first season on the station and centers around a man with everything in his life going wrong, except his dick. He decides to become a man-whore to make things better, mostly in a financial sense. I love Thomas Jane, but I think my biggest problem with the show is that the children because they don’t seem real to me. But since 90% of the show pays attention to the ramblings of the in demand Basketball Coach I’m all for it.
Also the article mentions that the next season of Curb Your Enthusiasm will be premiering on HBO on Sept. 20th. I can’t wait.
What are your thoughts on these shows and would you cancel any of them?
