Addicted to the Tube has returned. I know it has been a long while since I blogged but since the people in charge of gmanReviews are having problems sending my paycheck I had to find myself a job, which kept me very busy. It is the time of year when we get ready for season returns. I plan to do as many reviews as possible. The first on my list is the Showtime hit, Dexter. Season 4 of Dexter is scheduled to air September 27th. (more…)

So let me start by letting everyone know that we’ve been broadcasting but I haven’t published the episodes recorded due to some bad recording. So here is the first recording in the past four weeks that didn’t turn out horrible. There are some points in the recording where distortion occurs but the episode is still pretty listenable and I hope you guys enjoy it.

Now I’ve seen a ton of top ten/five lists on the internet blogosphere and podcasts about Father’s Day and I started to think how boring it would be for me to make another Top Ten on screen dads list. So here I will list some of my favourite movies that I have introduced my father to and he was happy that I did. (more…)

So for all of you out there reading this, I usually don’t do TV reviews but I loved this show so much last year I thought I’d take this opportunity to do episode to episode reviews for this show. At this point I’m not sure if I will be doing this for other TV shows out there, but let’s see how this goes and then we’ll worry about that later. Also, let it be known that these reviews will contain spoilers for the episodes and episodes that came before, so consider yourself warned and don’t come crying to me when you read spoilers. I WARNED YOU! (more…)

Nick [Eric Christian Olsen] and Shawn [Nicholas D’Agosto] are two guys in high school on the football team and like to get with every girl they can. Football camp is coming up and they are not looking forward to it as it means two weeks in the middle of nowhere with nothing but twenty other sweating guys. So they get the brilliant idea that they will join the cheerleading squad and go the cheer camp where it will be nothing but women 24/7 where they can get all the ladies from all the other schools that they’ve never even heard of before. This is once again an attempt for me to create a weekly article here on gmanreviews. I know I’ve disappointed you many times before promising some weekly pieces which have ranged from slightly interesting to completely useless. However, I promise I will try my best to keep this one going. And whenever I can’t find ten news pieces I’ll try to pad with cool articles that I like.
I don’t cover news on the site for the main reason that most of the news reported on film blogs that I read are either uninteresting or unconfirmed rumour most of the time. But on the odd occasion that the news is in fact genuine then that is when I jump up in joy reading some of it and other times fall into a deep dark depression. So here is the TOP TEN NEWS ITEMS THAT BROKE THIS WEEK. (more…)

Here is Tony Scott’s remake of the 1974 film of the same name, except that one had words instead of numbers in the title, and I must say that Mr. Scott had a tough job to update this movie without making it completely ridiculous. The film is about Ryder [John Travolta] who decides to take a group of individuals and take a train hostage in the New York subway system and demand ten million dollars from the city. Walter Garber [Denzel Washington] is the guy who is on the dispatch line at the Metro Control Centre and gets mixed up in this hostage situation. (more…)
