We return to Gotham City, and things have become slightly better. However, as Lieutenant Gordon promised at the end of the previous film The Joker (Heath Ledger) is around causing all sorts of chaos, and now with Batman cornering the mob The Joker has been let loose on him. Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) has emerged as the public servant that will stand up to the criminals and isn’t afraid to attack them with the law. Harvey Dent represents what Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) wanted to inspire people to become when he decided to become Batman. So now with two heroes and one bigger than life villain we enter a rollercoaster ride of a movie that makes us lose our minds and somewhat find it again. “And here we go”

Ages ago mankind and mythical creatures made a truce that man would stay to the cities and the creatures to the forest. Now, Prince Nuada (Luke Goss) has decided to break that agreement in order to take over the land and rule it as it’s one and only king. He needs the power of the Golden Army to do this. Hellboy (Ron Perlman) is set on the path to stop him and destroy this army from ever being brought back to life. And so we go…

In an overly aggressive effort to become a part of “The Press Team” and, as such, party to all the perks it carries, the first report has been spawned. Will reports be issued weekly; monthly? That is still to be seen.
As this is the first report of its kind, the name it bears should be explained. Without going into too much detail I’ll say that it’s a bit of an inside joke. I’m a coffee drinker; give me a good cup of Joe and I’m a happy camper. There do, however, tend to be some side effects. So, in the end I must decaffeinate. (more…)

Now I like many people love watching 80s movies. Especially ones starring Eddie Murphy (“Trading Places”[1983], “Coming To America”[1988], “Beverly Hills Cop”[1984]), but recently all his movies have been utter trash. I’m talking about, “Norbit” [2007], “Daddy Day Care” [2003], “The Adventures of Pluto Nash” [2002], and “Bowfinger” [1999]. The last movie (except for “Shrek” [2001] and “Shrek 2” [2004]) that I truly enjoyed that he starred in was “Life” [1999], which not only was before the turn of the last century/millennium but I’m sure if I watched it again now I would probably see a lot of problems and throw it in with all the other crap I mentioned above.

Hancock (Will Smith) is a drunk on the street; or is he? Hancock is a superhero; or is he? Hancock has superpowers: he can fly, he has super strength, and all that jazz. However, he is the bane of the city’s existence since every time Hancock “saves the day”, he happens to piss someone off, and he tends to cause millions of dollars worth of damage in the process. One day he saves Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman) from death. Ray turns out to be a PR agent, and decides to make it his job to shape Hancock into a proper publicly loved superhero.

Two hit-men from London are told to hide out in Bruges (it’s in Belgium) after a job and wait for a call from their boss. Ken (Brendan Gleeson) and Ray (Colin Farrell) play the two hit-men. The two of them argue and make a piss about being in the middle of gothic medieval Europe while they try as best to enjoy what they can most of the town waiting for the call from the boss.
